Our internal-facing databank brings together multiple sources of student-athlete data in a secure, unified system, designed to support staff in making informed decisions, tailoring performance strategies, and improving overall athlete care.
Beneath the surface of what fans see on game day, a new layer of innovation is shaping the way Florida athletes prepare, recover, and perform. At the heart of this effort is a secure, internal-facing databank – distinct from our research databank – that brings together a wide range of athlete performance and wellness data into one centralized system.
This infrastructure supports daily performance operations by providing coaches, sport scientists, and health professionals with a more connected and dynamic picture of each athlete’s needs. It’s an engine for decision-making that adapts in real time – empowering staff to act quickly, personalize care, and proactively support performance goals.
Enabled through collaboration with the Sports Performance & Analytics program, the ability to securely integrate and analyze these diverse data sources has unlocked new potential for internal projects and innovations that are already making a difference within Florida Athletics. All data is stored on UF’s supercomputer, HiPerGator, and is tightly controlled to uphold the highest standards of data privacy and ethics.
Built through collaboration between performance experts, AI researchers, engineers, and data scientists, this system is designed not just to support – but to elevate – Florida’s student-athletes.
