Research, Education, and Mentorship
At the heart of our AI-Powered Athletics mission at the University of Florida is a commitment to education – equipping students, staff, and partners with the knowledge and tools to lead in an evolving sports performance landscape. Through hands-on experiences, interdisciplinary collaboration, and a data-driven approach to sport, we aim to bridge the gap between research and real-world application. This initiative is not only about advancing technology in athletics but also about developing future leaders who are fluent in both human performance and AI innovation.
We believe that education is most impactful when it’s immersive, interdisciplinary, and inclusive. As part of our AI-Powered Athletics mission, we offer a range of opportunities for students from all majors and backgrounds to get involved – whether through semester-long research internships, summer projects, or senior capstone collaborations. Students have joined us from computer science, applied physiology, data science, and beyond – some for course credit, others through ongoing research roles. Whether you’re looking to explore AI in sports, contribute to ongoing research, or develop your own project, we’re here to support your journey.
