Kristy Elizabeth Boyer, Ph.D.

Professor


Dr. Kristy Elizabeth Boyer is a Professor in the Department of Computer & Information Science & Engineering at the University of Florida. Her research lies at the intersection of artificial intelligence and human-centered computing, with a focus on designing intelligent systems that support collaboration, learning, and human athletic endeavors. Dr. Boyer’s interdisciplinary work leverages natural language processing and conversational agents to produce novel technologies that support people in developing skills to achieve their goals. Dr. Boyer is Managing Director of the National AI INVITE Institute, and she has been recognized with numerous best paper awards and an NSF CAREER award. Boyer holds the M.S. in Applied Statistics from the Georgia Institute of Technology and the Ph.D. in Computer Science from North Carolina State University.
